PASSPORTS AND DOCUMENTATION:

Travel Documents: Passport, with remaining validity of 6 months at the time of entering the country.

Visa: is not required for less than 90 days. You must be in possession of return ticket.

HEALTH:

Health Care: In general, the quality of health care facilities is good. There is a public hospital (Holberton Hospital) and a private clinic (Adelin Clinic).

It is advisable to conclude, before undertaking the trip, an health insurance.

Vaccinations: No vaccination is required.

Pharmacies: Pharmacies are located around the island but are concentrated in St. John's. Their usual hours of operation are between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRICITY:

Telephones: The country dialling code for Antigua and Barbuda is 001-268.

Internet: Almost all hotel have connections to the Internet.

Electricity: The electric current is 110/220 volts, 50 Hz. The socket is a American type.

CURRENCY AND BANKS:

Currency: Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD).

Banks: For purchases you can safely use the U.S. dollar, easily exchangeable the U.S. dollar and Euro that both convertible in local currency in banks and most hotels. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club) are accepted in most shops.

Banking Hours: Banks are open from Monday to Thursday from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. , while on Friday they are open from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
