Barbados is a constitutional monarchy associated with the British Commonwealth, the state consists of a single island Barbados (431 sq km) located east of Saint Vincent, in the archipelago of Windward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, it's capital is Bridgetown. The island of Barbados, of coral origin, is mostly flat, there are only low hills, which reach maximum height with Mount Hillaby (336 metres). The cultivable land on the island is largely cultivated with sugar cane, upon which is based the agricultural and industrial economy, from sugar cane, in addition to sugar are also produced molasses and rum. Recently have been discovered some deposits of oil and natural gas. A certain importance is due on fishing, while very important is tourism.
