PASSPORTS AND DOCUMENTATION:

Travel Documents: Passport, with remaining validity of 6 months at the time of entering the country.

Visa: is not required for a stay not exceeding 90 days. You must be in possession of return ticket. 

HEALTH:

Health Care: In general, the quality of health care facilities is good. The hospitals both public and private are good. There are 2 hospitals.

It is advisable to conclude, before undertaking the trip, an health insurance.

Vaccinations: No vaccination is required. 

 

TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRICITY:

Telephones: The country dialling code for Barbados is 001-246.

Internet: Almost all hotel have connections to the Internet. 

Electricity: The electric current is 110/220 volts, 50 Hz. The socket is a American type. 

CURRENCY AND BANKS:

Currency: Barbados Dollar (BBD).

Banks: For purchases you can safely use the U.S. dollar, easily exchangeable the U.S. dollar and Euro that both convertible in local currency in banks and most hotels. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club) are accepted in most shops.

Banking Hours: Banks are open from Monday to Thursday from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., while on Friday they are open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
