Internet: Almost all hotel have connections to the Internet. Several are Internet cafes in main cities. Electricity: The electric current is 110/220 volts, 50 Hz. The socket is a American type.
CURRENCY AND BANKS: Currency: Belize Dollar (BZD). Banks: For purchases you can safely use the U.S. dollar, easily exchangeable the U.S. dollar and Euro that both convertible in local currency in banks and most hotels. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club) are accepted in most shops. Banking Hours: Banks are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
