Cuba climate is tropical, characterized by constant breath of trade winds coming from the Atlantic Ocean, it's divided into two distinct seasons, the dry one that goes from November to April with average minimum temperatures ranging between 18°C and 21°C, and highest average temperatures between 27°C and 26°C; and the hot and rainy season that runs from May to October in this period the average minimum temperatures range between 22°C and 24°C, and the highest average temperatures between 31°C and 29°C, during this season precipitation are abundant and strong, at times in this season, especially between August and October, can occur violent hurricanes. The northern coastline is exposed to rainfall, with maximum values of 3000 mm annually on the northern slopes of the mountains, southern regions instead receive on average about 1000 mm of rain a year.
The sea temperature, even for the presence of the nearby Gulf current, fluctuates between 25°C and 27°C from November to April and between 28°C to 30°C from May to October.
