The climate of Panama is tropical, the country can be divided into two distinct climatic regions: the coast along the Caribbean Sea and the coast along the Pacific Ocean, both climatic regions have temperatures ranging between 25°C and 32°C . The coast of the Caribbean Sea is much more rainy than the Pacific, it receives an average annual rainfall varies between 1500 and 3600 mm, while the coast along the Pacific Ocean receives about 1100-2300 mm a year. Along the Caribbean coast rains with the same intensity throughout the year, while along the Pacific coast there is a dry season between January and April. The southern regions of the country near the border with Colombia have instead a rainy season that lasts throughout the year also along the Pacific coast. |
