Los Angeles is located along the coast of the Pacific Ocean in a flat area of southern California, with a population of over 3 700 000 inhabitants is the largest city in California, its metropolitan area exceeds 17 700 000 inhabitants, this makes it one of the most populated cities on the planet. Los Angeles is an important industrial, commercial, scientific and technological center of the United States of America, the city is famous for being the birthplace of American cinema, is home to the Universal Studios and Disneyland, in addition to areas made famous by the film's stars as Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive. Los Angeles was founded in 1781 by Spanish and Mexican settlers, it was part of the Spanish possessions in America until 1821, when it became part of independent Mexico, in 1847 after the war with Mexico, Los Angeles, like the rest of California, became part of the United States.
