Guyana has a warm and humid equatorial climate with intense rainfall and scarce seasonal differences in temperature, which in fact are maintained throughout the year between 23°C and 30°C, the heat and humidity are constantly mitigated along the coast from the trade winds. The warmer months are those between August and October. The rains are more intense on highland and along the coasts, for example in the capital Georgetown is an average of 2290 mm of rain a year. Guyana has two rainy seasons, the first between May and mid-August, the second between mid-November and mid-January.
The best time to visit Guyana are the dry months between mid January and mid April and between August and October.
