The climate of the United Arab Emirates is sub-tropical arid, hot and humid along the coast, and hot and dry inland. The moisture is particularly high along the coastal region, making the unbearable climate of the hot summer months. In Dubai the warmer months of July and August have a maximum average temperature of 40°C and an average minimum of 29°C, while the cooler month is January with an average maximum temperature of 24°C and an average minimum of 13°C.
 

In mid-winter and early summer blows on the country Shamal, a wind blowing from the north and north-west and brings sand and dust. Scarce rains occur between December and April, the average annual rainfall varies between 50 and 150 mm.

The best time to travel in the United Arab Emirates are the months ranging from November to April, when temperatures are cooler.
