Climate: Western Australia has many types of climate, in the south-western area climate is temperate with winter rainfall (June-August) and four distinct seasons, to the north is tropical with a wet season and dry season (April to November), While the rest of the territory is arid or semi-arid. Away from the coast the rains fall and the difference in temperature between day and night are rising. |

In coastal areas of northern Western Australia, the dry season between April and September has long days of sunshine and blue skies with temperatures ranging between 24°C during the night and 34°C during the day. Summer, between October and March, is the period of rainfall, average temperatures are around 30°C with high humidity. In Broome, for example, the most rainy months are those between January and March, the average annual precipitation is around 600 mm. The average maximum temperature in Meekatharra, ranging between 38°C in January and 19°C in July, while the average minimum temperatures vary between 24°C in January and 7°C in July.
In the south-western coast, the climate is mild, Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and mild and rainy winters, the average maximum temperature ranging between 25°C in January and 16°C in July, the average minimum ranging between 14°C in February and 7°C in July. In Albany, for example, the most rainy months are between May and September, the average annual rainfall is 800 mm.
The area of Perth has maximum average temperatures ranging between 18°C in July and 32°C in February, while the minimum temperatures ranging between 8°C in August and 17°C in February. The average annual rainfall is 800 mm of rain, most of which falls in the months between May and August, with maximum intensity in June and July.
The best time to visit the area south of tripic of Capricorn (Perth, Albany) are the summer months between November and March, when temperatures are higher and rains scarce. The area north of the Tropic of Capricorn is better to visit during the months between May and October, that is the dry season, when temperatures are milder.
