Vara's accommodation starts from the beach side of popular Muri Beach and stretches up on the hillside about 5 - 8 minutes walk from the Beach House with fully furnished houses, cottages, villas and bungalows set on a private hill with great ocean and village views, as well as having communal houses scattered along the village of Muri Beach. The Beach House has a huge beach sun deck with sun chairs and hammocks over stretching the beach under swaying palm trees, with the most picturesque view. There is a Beach Hut that hires out snorkeling gear, kayaks and does fishing tours as well as spear diving tours. Our office also hires out one of the cheapest SCOOTERS and BICYCLES on the island (under 21yrs? - no worries, we can rent you a scooter). Absolutely convenient to everything with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, bus stop, dive centers, sailing club, car and bike rentals and much more only minutes stroll. We also offer self-catering accommodation for those looking for something upmarket and more private but still the ability to meet and mingle with others. Please note our accommodation consists of beachside AND hillside rooms, with beachside subject to availability.
Vara's has a CAFE/Restaurant, souvenir shop and pharmacy on site, as well as bus stop at front entrance right next to all the local shops.

The friendliest family owned and run hostel on Rarotonga. Modern facilities are very clean and spacious.

We have a range of dorms from two-bed, three-bed, six-bed and eight-bed room dorms. Please note two-bedroom dorms cannot be guaranteed as they are quite popular.
For those looking for a little more privacy, we have nine twin rooms and six double rooms with similar configuration.
A complimentary island style breakfast will greet you in the morning. Our spacious kitchen and dining area is great for everyone to cook and appreciate their own personal masterpieces. Large common area so it is really easy to socialise.

Tiare Village is 3km from Avarua Township (15mins walk) situated on the north side of the island. Convenient for shopping, Banks, Restaurant's and our very own Island nightlife. Also, just a few minutes from the beach at Nikao by motor scooter. Rarotonga is 32kilometres circular 1/2 hour by scooter approx. 2/3 hours by cycling.
We cater for budget minded tourists in comfortable accommodation situated in lush tropical gardens.
Rarotonga has a daily bus service. The bus stop for Tiare Village operates from Mon ¡V Fri 7.30am ¡V 5.30pm, which travels on the hour anticlockwise around the island. The bus stops at the end of our drive, which is a minute walk from the main house.
The swimming pool and shared BBQ area is available for all Tiare Village guests and an abundance of fresh fruit (pawpaws, bananas, mangoes and avocados) can be picked fresh from the trees in our garden when in season.

Our, hillside complex is in a secluded spot 400 metres from the beach perched on a hill 300 metres from the popular Raemaru track.
