Climate: The climate of Albania is Mediterranean along the coast, with hot and dry summers and mild and rainy winters, in the interior of the country the climate is continental, while on the highest peaks the climate is typical of mountain, where rainfall is more abundant.

Along the coast, average temperatures in July and January are 25°C and 10°C respectively, the plains have mild winters, with an average winter temperature of 7°C, in summer the average temperature is 24°C, while in inland mountainous areas winter temperatures are significantly lower, with averages, at 900 meters asl, around 19°C in July and -2°C in January.

The rainfall in general decrease from north to south, touching the highest peak on the Albanian Alps, where annually rainfall is about 1,800-2,200 mm of rain, with some snow; in the plains, the average annual rainfall varies from 1,000 mm to over 1,500 mm, with more heavy rains in the north, rain falls almost throughout the winter; on the coast do not fall more than 600 mm of rain, and only during winter.

The best time to travel to Albania are the months between May and September.
