Andorra (Principat d'Andorra-Principauté d'Andorre) it's a small principality, situated among the Pyrenees, formally under the joint sovereignty of France and the bishop of Urgel (Spain). The country stretches from the mountains of the central-eastern Pyrenees in Valira river basin is rich in forests of pines and firs; it is easily accessible from Spain, less accessible is the border with France, which is divided by Envalira crossing, 2.409 meters high. Due to its location in the eastern Pyrenees mountain range, Andorra consists predominantly of rugged mountains of an average height of 1,996 metres with the highest being the Coma Pedrosa at 2,946 metres. These are dissected by three narrow valleys in a Y shape that combine into one as the main stream, the Valira river.
