Travel Documents: Tourists coming from any country of the European Union (Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Nederland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Ostrich, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Greece, United-Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) do not need a visa to enter Andorra they need just the national identity card.

Health Care: The health situation in general is good.

It is advisable to conclude, before undertaking the journey, a health insurance including, in addition to coverage of medical expenses, the possible return air health or transfer in any other country. 

Electricity: Electricity in Andorra is 230 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second.

Mobile Telephones: Roaming agreements exist with most international mobile companies. Coverage is good.

Internet: Internet cafes are available throughout Andorra.

  

Money and Banks: Andorra does not have its own currency and since the disappearance of the Spanish peseta and French franc, uses the Euro. American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.

Banking Hours: Mon-Fri 09.00-13.00 and 15.00-17.00, Sat 09.00-12.00. 

Shopping, and Shopping hours:

Department stores: From Monday to Friday: from 09.30 to 20 h. Saturday: from 09.30 to 21 h. Sunday: from 09.30 to 19 h.

Shops: From Monday To Saturday: from 09.30 to 13 h. and from 16 to 20 h. Sundays: from 09.30 to 13 h. and from 16 to 19 h.

Post offices: 09.00-13.00 and 15.00-17.00 in Andorra la Vella. 

The shops in the Principality are only obliged to close 4 days a year: January 1st – New YearMarch 14 – Constitution Day September 8 – National Day – Our Lady of Meritxell December 25 - Christmas

Typical Products: Andorra's very low tax regime has made it famous as a duty-free bazaar for electronic goods, cameras and alcohol.

Cuisine: Andorra cuisine is very close to Catalan cuisine, with French influences. Among the dishes are the cunillo (rabbit in tomato sauce), trinxat (bacon, potatoes and cabbage), the xai (roast lamb), and escudella (stewed chicken, meatballs and sausage meat). ANDORRAN CUISINE RECIPES.
