Airports and Flights:

Austrian Airlines and Austrian Arrows (the new brand for the regional flight segment of the Austrian Airlines Group, “Austrian arrows – operated by Tyrolean” operates on Austrian domestic routes and in Europe’s regional flight segment) have regular flights for Vienna Schwechat International Airport from the principal capitals and major cities of the world.

International airlines: most international airlines have regular flights from all major cities of the world to Austria's international airports. The following Austrian airports have international connections: Wien-Schwechat, Graz, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Linz and Salzburg. There are daily internal flights between these airports.

Vienna International Airport, located 18 kilometers southeast of Vienna, is the busiest and biggest airport in Austria. It is often referred to as Schwechat, the name of the nearby town. The airport is the hub of Austrian Airlines and its subsidiaries, as well as budget airline Niki and Sky Europe.  

 

Salzburg Airport or W. A. Mozart Airport is the second largest airport in Austria. The airport is located 4 km from the centre of Salzburg and 2 km from the Austrian-German border.

Buses:

The public bus transportation network in Austria includes more than 2,800 scheduled routes. Almost all places relevant to tourism can be reached by bus.

Trains:

The Austrian Federal Railway network has a length of about 5,700 km and is directly connected to the European railway network. There are international connections between almost all European countries.
