HOW TO MOVE: URBAN TRANSPORT OF SALZBURG

Salzburg has a network of bus and trolley with over 20 lines and a frequency of a race every 10 minutes. Salzburg also has a sub-urban system called S-Bahn with 4 lines (S1, S2, S3, S11), trains depart from the main station every 30 minutes.

Salzburg Card: Very useful for tourists is the Salzburg Card which allows free use of public bus for 24, 48 or 72 hours, in addition to free entrance in many museums and attractions.

Park + Ride: For those arriving by car in Salzburg interesting is the formula Park + Ride: you parked the car in a parking Park + Ride and use the public transport at special rates to arrive in the city center. Two are the parking Park + Ride: Messezentrum (3400 cars), north of the city, near exit 291 of the A1 "Messezentrum." Süd Salzburg (Salzburg South), south of the city, near the south exit (8) of the motorway.

The central area of the city, however, is easily explorable on foot.
