CLIMATE: WHEN TO GO TO CZECH REPUBLIC
CZECH REPUBLIC

Climate: The Czech Republic has a temperate, continental climate with relatively hot summers and cold, cloudy winters, usually with snow. There are four seasons of approximately all the same length. Most rains are during the summer.

The temperature difference between summers and winters is relatively high due to its landlocked geographical position. Winters are relatively mild (the average January temperature is -2°C), the coldest month is usually January followed by February and December. Summers are not too hot (the average July temperature is 20°C), the warmest month of the year is July, followed by August and June. The mountains receive about 130 days of snow a year.

The best time of year to visit Prague and the Czech Republic is May or September.
