The island of Andros (380 sq km, 10 000 inhabitants) is the northernmost island of the Cyclades, lying south-east of Euboea and north-west of the island of Tinos, the island's capital is the town of Andros, which is located along the east coast.
Andros Island is a rugged and mountainous island, the highest mountain is Mount Petalon (994 meters), situated in the center of the island, in the valleys are cultivated olive trees, vines and citrus fruits. The coasts are wild and rocky, interspersed with beautiful white sandy beaches.
