The island of Lefkada or Leucas (303 sq km, 20 000 inhabitants) is the fourth largest island of the Ionian Archipelago and is situated near the coast of Greece to which is connected via a causeway and a mobile bridge, thanks to this link is one of the most accessible islands of Greece, the ancient Italian name of the island is Santa Maura. The center is the main town of Lefkada, the capital of the prefecture, which includes the island of Lefkada the small islands of Meganisi, Kalamos, Kastos, Madouri, Skorpios and Sparti.
