CLIMATE: WHEN TO GO TO MILAN

The climate of Milan is continental, Milan's winters are typically damp and chilly, while summers can be swelteringly hot and humid with temperatures rising above 30°C during July and August. Humidity is quite high during the whole year and annual precipitation averages about 1000 mm. Snowfalls are common during winter, sometimes with up to 40 cm per year, winter also brings rain showers and heavy fog.  The winters are relatively low temperatures, with average minimum -2°C and average maximum of 4°C in January. In summer the average maximum temperatures vary between 29°C and 26°C while the average summer minimum varies between 17°C and 15°C. The best months to visit Milan are the months of April, May, June and September.
