Tourist attractions: Montenegro is a land of contrasts and natural beauty: the beautiful and jagged coastline with interesting historical towns as Venetian Budva (Budva) and Kotor (Kotor); the wonderful Bay of Kotor, the fjord of the Mediterranean; the high mountain peaks of Durmitor, Bjelasica, Komovi and Visitor. Unesco has inscribed 2 Montenegro site in the World Heritage List: Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor (1979), Durmitor National Park (1980). Travel Documents: Passport or a valid personal identity document. As of June 15, 2004, citizens of countries of the European Union may enter Montenegro with only identity card and stay up to 30 days. At the time of entry in Montenegro is issued a tourist pass that must be showed to the border police at the time of departure. For those who go in Montenegro with only identity card, is not allowed to cross the administrative border with Serbia and Kosovo and, in the case of air travel, a stop in Belgrade. If you pass through Serbia and/or Kosovo to arrive in Montenegro, you need a valid passport. Health: Preparation of medical personnel and health is generally good level. Except a few exceptions, health care facilities are lacking in equipment, the availability of medicines and service. Medical insurance with evacuation cover is strongly recommended. Shopping hours: Opening hours of shops are from 09.00 a.m. to 09.00 p.m. Grocery stores are open from 06.00 a.m. to 09.00 p.m. In tourist resorts during the tourist season all shops are open until midnight. Banks: Opening hours: 08.00 a.m. - 07.00 p.m., on Saturdays 08.00 a.m. - 01.00 p.m., banks are closed on Sundays. Electricity: 220V/50 Hz Cuisine: Among the dishes are absolutely worth trying: char-grilled lamb or kid, the pivski kajmak (special cream milk Piva), the seafood soup and boiled fish, fried carp. Starters: Smoked ham and homemade cheese of Njegusi, olives. Main dish: Seafood, various fish, lamb baked under iron pan, trout. Maritime Transport: There is a service line ferry carrying passengers and goods between Bar-Bari and Bar-Ancona. Airports and Flights: There are two international airports in Montenegro: Podgorica and Tivat. In addition, you can use the airport in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The Montenegro Airlines, ensures regular flights from Podgorica to Belgrade, Paris, Vienna, Zurich, Frankfurt, Ljubljana and Rome; and from Tivat to Belgrade.
