Tourist attractions: Located in a small area you will find a sea with beautiful beaches, rivers with unique canyons, clear lakes and giant mountains. Montenegro is a land of contrasts and natural beauty: the beautiful and jagged coastline (the Montenegrin coast is 293 km long with 73 km of beaches spread over 117 locations) with interesting historical towns as Venetian Budva (Budva) and Kotor (Kotor); the wonderful Bay of Kotor, the fjord of the Mediterranean; the high mountain peaks of Durmitor, Bjelasica, Komovi and Visitor. The magnificent canyon of the Tara river is the deepest canyon in Europe (second deepest canyon in the World, after Colorado Canyon, USA).

Unesco has inscribed 2 Montenegro site in the World Heritage List: Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor (1979), Durmitor National Park (1980). Among the properties submitted on the Tentative List are: "Biogradska Gora" National Park (2002), Moraca Monastery (2002), the historic centre of Cetinje (2002).
