CLIMATE: WHEN TO GO TO THE NETHERLANDS
THE NETHERLANDS

Climate: The Netherlands has a temperate maritime climate with cool winters and mild summers. Atlantic Climate type, wet and windy, characterized by frequent rains and high variability. The Netherlands are in all seasons on the trajectory of depressions from pole, this explains the frequency of cloud and precipitation throughout the year, precipitation that are dense but not abundant (averages ranging between 600 mm and 800 mm).

The summers are cool with maximum temperatures of 25°C, the winters are cold, but not rigid, with frequent frosts and fogs, with minimum temperatures around 0°C. Spring is a good time to visit too, as the bulb flowers are in full bloom in this season. April is the best month for daffodils, May for tulips.

Amsterdam has a mild, damp climate but the weather can be variable with temperature extremes even in summer.
