Kranjska Gora (5 500 inhabitants) is an important holiday and winter tourism center, which became famous thanks to Ski World Cup. The village is located at 810 meters asl in the valley of the Sava Dolinka near the border with Austria and Italy. Kranjska Gora has several kilometers of ski slopes with 6 lifts and 12 ski lifts, cross-country skiing facilities are about 40 km of tracks. For the summer Kranjska Gora is equipped with over 20 km of marked hiking paths.
