Formentera is the smallest island (83 sq km, 7500 inhabitants) and the southernmost island of the Balearic islands. The island, 19 km long is located 6 km south of Ibiza. Formentera is largely flat, it reaches the maximum height of 192 m with the hilltop La Mola, the vegetation of Formentera is characterized by the presence of pine forests and woodlands. The island has 69 km of coastline with sandy beaches of great beauty.

To the north are some of the uninhabited islets of which the largest is called Espalmador, here are some of the most beautiful beaches of Formentera. Formentera is a very popular tourist destination, thanks to the beauty of the beaches (Illetas, Levante, Es Arenals, Migjorn, Cala Saona, etc.). and because of proximity to Ibiza known for its unbridled and legendary nightlife. The main industry is tourism.
