CLIMATE: WHEN TO GO TO COSTA DEL SOL

The climate of the Costa del Sol is classic Mediterranean with hot, dry summers and mild winters, this type of climate makes the Costa del Sol a possible destination for the whole year. The rainfall is scarce and in some areas slightly exceed 250 mm, from April to September rarely rains with maximum 6 days of rain in April and between 0 and 2 days from June to September. Even the winter months, however, recorded a maximum of 7 days of rain per month. The maximum average summer temperatures ranging between 30°C and 27°C, while the average minimum winter temperatures do not fall below 8°C with maximum average temperatures in the coldest month (January) of 17°C. 

The sea water temperature exceeds 20°C between late June and November, with a maximum of 25°C in September. For the visit the optimal period is from April to October.
