The summer sunshine and mild winter climate along the coast make the Costa del Sol a year-round attraction. Marbella, protected by the surrounding Sierra Blanca mountains, enjoys an unusually pleasant micro-climate. Weather records show that the average temperature is 19º C and the sun shines for 320 days a year with only 45 days of rain. Rains fall mostly during winter days from October through to March and the annual rain average is 500 milimeter.
