Airports and Flights: The main airport is that of Stockholm-Arlanda, there are intercontinental flights as well as flights within Europe.

Direct service between the United States and Sweden is operated by SAS in cooperation with United Airlines and other members of Star Alliance. Non-stop services offered from Newark, NJ and Chicago to Stockholm (via Copenhagen from Seattle and Washington, DC). In addition, Malaysia Airlines and Continental Airlines offer non-stop service to Stockholm from Newark, NJ and US Airways offers non-stop service between Philadelphia, PA and Stockholm.  

Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport is Sweden's second-largest airport. National Transport: SAS Scandinavian Airlines is the national carrier. SAS operates connecting flights to major cities in Sweden via Stockholm. Most domestic flights depart from Arlanda, north of Stockholm, where you can fly directly to virtually all of Sweden's inland airports.

Maritime Transport:

International Transport: By sea, Sweden is connected by ferry with UK, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Finland, Åland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Trains:

International Transport: Connection with the rest of Europe through trains operate from Copenhagen to destinations in Sweden via the bridge and tunnel across the Öresund strait.

National Transport: Sweden has a highly efficient rail network spanning the entire country. The Swedish rail network is operated by a few major train operators; SJ, Tågkompaniet, BK Tåg, LINX, Connex and Inlandsbanan.

Buses:

International Transport: Eurolines is the leading operator of scheduled coach services to Europe, including 27 destinations in Sweden.

National Transport: There is an excellent network of express services between the larger towns and cities in south and central Sweden, and between Stockholm and towns in the north. The largest bus operator is Swebus Express, which has 300 destinations throughout the country.
