The city of Broome was established as a pearling port in the 1880s. It was populated by people of many nationalities (Europeans, Malays, Chinese and Japanese) who arrived in Broome in the hope of making their fortune from the pearling industry. Broome is situated at the Southernmost tip of the rugged Kimberly region of Western Australia, 18° South of the Equator. The best season to visit it is from April to September. The main attraction of the town is Cable Beach one of the most famous beaches in the world, it's situated 6 km from the center. This is a great location from which to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
