Located in
Iraquara, this cave is reached through a nice walk. It belongs to a caves complex named
Lapa Doce I, II and III. Inside this cave there are geological formations of rare beauty,
including the mix of red and white colors in the of speleotem formations. Lapa Doce cave
system has a length of 17.0 km. The Lapa Doce system, considered to be one of the ten
largest in Brazil. The Lapa Doce system have large galleries which in many places have
heights greater than 50 m. and widths greater than 15 m.

PRATINHA
The Pratinha Cave stretches approximately 100 m. and its
depth ranges from 1 to 2 m. The beautiful sight of an enourmous crystal clear lake
materializes as you descend the natural stairs that lead to the dive. Gruta
da Pratinha is a similar formation to Gruta Azul and the river flows into a large crystal
clear lake which is good for swimming and snorkelling. The dive in the lake is open to the general public.

GRUTA AZUL
It's a
calcareous rock cave located at walking distance from Pratinha. This cave it's formed by
the same underground waters emerging at Pratinha´s cave. Entering the cave's mouth, sun
rays hit the interior lake, creating a gorgeous visual spectacle, with blue tones being
given by the minerals present in the water, mainly magnesium.
