Ua Huka has
an area of 82,4 square kilometers. Its highest mountain is Mt. Hitikau, which reaches a
height of 856 meters. Ua Huka had a population of 571 (1996 census). In the island there
are two main villages: Vaipae and Hane. Ua Hukas first European discoverer was the
American Captain Joseph Ingraham in 1791.

UA POU
Ua Pou has
an area of 111,6 square kilometers Ua Pou has a central ridge that reaches a height of
1,231 meters at Mt. Potainui, also known as Oave Needle, this mountains is the highest
point in the Marquesas. Ua Pou had a population of 2,013 (1996 census), with 1,398 living
in the village of Hakahau and 615 living in the village of Hakamaii. Ua Pou's first
European discoverer was the American Captain Joseph Ingraham in 1791. This island has
impressive volcanic basalt pinnacles that are like towers and spires, the coasts are
equally spectacular with their steep reliefs.

Hatutu it's
located 3 km northeast of Eiao. It's 5 km long and 428 m. high, its area is 6,4
sqkm.

MOTU ONE or ÎLOTS DU SABLE (Sand
Island)
Motu One is
a coral reef with a small sandy island on its western edge. This island is located about
30 km northeast of Eiao and 15 km northeast of Hatutu. The reef is approximately 5 km in
diameter, and the islands rise only a few meters above sea level.
