LA DIGUE |

| La Digue
island is situated a short distance from Praslin throught a short boat ride lasting only
30 minutes. La Digue is the fourth largest (10 sq. km.) and third most populated of the
islands within the Seychelles, with over 2000 inhabitants. Oxcart is the traditional
method of transport. La Digue is considered to be the most unspoiled and traditional
island of the Seychelles archipelago. The long and beautiful sand beaches, decorated with
enormous granite rocks and coral reefs, are ideal for long walks, swimming, snorkelling.
La Digue is most famous for its beautiful landscape, offering unique rock formations
reaching down to the sea. The most beautiful beaches are that of Anse Union, Anse Source
d'Argent, Anse Severe. Petit Anse and Grand Anse to the South East of the island are wild
beautiful, but due to the currents are dangerous for swimming. |
